I am an excited college student currently, and I love to pass on my love of learning to those I tutor. I have had two long term tutoring jobs, and several instances of short term tutoring responsibilities. I have worked with students up to high school age, and when younger, assisted in teaching students as young as the 1st grade how to improve their reading/writing.

I have a Ph.D. in particle physics from Duke University, but what I have always loved to do most is teach. I taught introductory and intermediate physics classes at New College, Duke University and RPI. Some years ago I started to tutor one-on-one and have found that, more than classroom instruction, it allows me to tailor my teaching to students' individual needs.

...I am currently at graduate student at Drexel and I graduated with honors from Penn State University in 2011. I have worked with children for over 10 years teaching gymnastics and working in the child behavioral health field. I take a unique perspective on child education as I use cognitive behavioral therapy techniques that help the child to learn with much ease.

...These skills are basic, and I greatly enjoy going over and re-teaching many of the topics, that are sometimes glossed over in schools. When basic skills are learned well, it makes it difficult for the student to progress further in math. I taught Calculus CP to seniors at Harriton High School for 6 months, as a long term substitute teacher.

...There I attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, and I also minored in Consciousness and Transformation. As part of the minor I took a couple classes that both helped me learn to meditate and supported me in developing a daily meditation practice. I maintain a daily practice of 10 minutes of mindfulness meditation.
