...Generally when tutoring I don't want a student to ask me to show them how I should solve that problem. I usually will ask them to attempt to solve the problem and tell me why they are doing what they are doing. I would point out any step they did wrong and give them tips and hints which is the correct method to solve that problem, but no tell them directly what they need to do.
