I have taught Algebra 1 for many years to middle and high school students. We have worked on applications and how this relates to things in real life. I realize that Algebra is a big step up from the math many have worked at previously with great success.

I have worked in classrooms from pre-school through second grade as a teacher's assistant, including with students with special needs. In 2006, I designed and taught a three week kindergarten class to reinforce core skills through creative play. I have also tutored children ages 7 and 9 in math, science, reading, social studies, and study skills.

...I can teach you how to cook traditional authentic couscous, steamed rice with herbs, stuffed squash, (Dolma) stuffed greens, steamed rice with stew, French bread, Kebsa (rice with lamb stew), Mbatten (potato slices stuffed with ground beef), Maqroodh (sweet semolina cookies stuffed with dates), ...

...I also have recent experience volunteering in 6th-8th grade math classes helping teach algebra 1. I have been a math tutor for the past 5 years on and off and have spent multiple hours volunteering in both middle school and high school math classes. I have passed the WyzAnt Algebra 2 quiz and am applying to grad schools to be a math teacher full time.

...I meet students at their level of understanding and break down the material in a way that is basic and relatable to the student. I have helped several students to success in their different calculus classes and hope to help many more. I am a 2006 Mechanical Engineering graduate from University of Illinois.
