...My approach is to help them avoid taking the same study tactics of memorization and regurgitation, i.e. route learning, and teach them analytical thinking skills instead. I make a point to approach each student according to his or her relationship to the subject matter as well as his or her unique style of learning. I find that patience and compassion are necessary tools of the trade.
