I am a botanical illustrator and mathematician. With that unusual combination, I've spent a lot of my life explaining math to art people and art to math people. The stereotype that artists don't do math well doesn't apply to me, but it has given me a lot of experience in finding new ways to explain and teach math for people who think differently.
