...Not only do I consider grammar very important, but I also find it interesting for its own sake. The most effective way to study grammar is by breaking sentences down into small pieces: clauses, phrases, individual words and punctuation marks, and then analyzing the correct usage of every element making up the sentence. I find diagramming sentences to be extremely helpful.
