Fisrt of all u just need to simplify it by doing order of operations. The first thing I would do would be to combine like terms (that means adding or substracting all of the things that are alike).

So u first u have your exponents: xcubed - xsquared. Thats just going to give u 'x' (to get that I subtracted exponents so 3-2=1)

Now your problem is 3x-12x+4=0

We still need to combine like terms. Now our like terms are 3x-12x so we subtract the 3-12 to get -9x.

Therefore the problem is now -9x+4=0.

To solve that, u simply work it out as a 2 step equation (just subtract the 4 from both sides, divide by 15 on both sides, and that will leave u with 'x')

Hope that helped, if I confused u or u still need any help just reply! ~ashley
