3x^3 - x^2 - 12x + 4 = 0
This equation can be factored as
(x^2 - 4)(3x - 1) = 0 which simplifies to
(x + 2)(x - 2)(3x - 1) = 0
So the roots (solutions) are: x = {2, -2 , 1/3}
