I'm so confused!! Please tell me if this is the right answer. And if it's not please help.
I need to use the quadratic formula to solve the following. Leave irrational roots in the simplest radical form:
3x^2-4x-5=0
i got the answer 4+RAD76 4-RAD76
--------- , -----------
6 6
Someone told me the answer would be
1/3 (2-RAD19) 1/3 (2+ RAD19) how did they get that answer?
Thank you
