I'm helping a lad with his homework but have gotten stuck on this one myself - there is a word problem which narrows down to solving the following equations:
2m + 5p = $366.50
3m + 4p = $327.50
The variables in both equations are the same - I can go through and substitute values and get to the answer eventually but how are these equations supposed to be done to satisfy a teacher.
thanks so much for any help
