If the score the student gets on the test is "x", from the problem we have:
(88 + 82 + 84 + 2*x)/(1 + 1 + 1 + 2*1) = 70 (since each test counts twice as much as a quiz we have the test score doubled to 2*x)
(254 + 2x)/5 = 70
2x + 254 = 350
2x = 96
x = 48
